The 12 chosen by Méndez to face Germany

The Spanish women’s basketball team starts this afternoon (7:00 p.m. – TDP) its preparation for the next World which will be played in Berlin (Germany) from September 4 to 13 with a friendly match against the hosts in the German town of Ludwigsburg.

Looking ahead to this match, the national coach, Miguel Méndez, has had to make a call for 12 players so it has had to rule out four of those displaced to Germany, and in this case they have been María Araújo, Elena Buenavida, Carolina Guerrero and Mariona Ortíz.

So, the call to face Germany is the following: Irati Etxarri, Maite Cazorla, Aina Ayuso, Alba Torrens, Helena Pueyo, Andrea Vilaró, Marta García, Paula Ginzo, Lola Pendande, Txell Alarcón, Nerea Hermosa and Iyana Martín.

Spain’s next duel on its ‘We Dream Again’ preparation tour will be on Spanish territory again: on August 21, against Nigeria, in Tenerife.
