In less than a week the route of the trip will be known in detail. 114th edition of the Tour de Franceof which it is already known that the ‘Grand Depart’ with the three initial stages of rigor will be played in Great Britain.
From the rest of the route, it is assumed that the route will go into the Pyrenees and the Alpswith two days against the clock – this 2026 there were two trials, the first by teams in Barcelona the first day and the second individual in the 16th stage.
This and all doubts about the route will be resolved next Thursday starting at 11:00 a.m., when the itinerary of the 21 stages will be revealed from the Paris Conference Center, a gala that you can follow live on the Mundo Deportivo website
The surprise came this Thursday when the media ‘Le Progrès’ announced that most likely the climb to Montmartre is not on the route sheet ‘Big Boucle’which could be considered a big surprise, after its inclusion in the last stage of the Tour de France 2025.
The climb to Montmartre (1.1 kilometers at 5.9%) surprised by its beauty and toughness in the road test of the Paris 2024 Olympic Gamesand from there it was included in the Tour two years ago, repeating the following year.
Its cobbled slopes have so far been a success, both on television and in terms of the numbers of fans who for days past, as cyclists passed by, took over every meter of the sidewalks, offering some of the most bucolic images of the race. And as far as television is concerned, it is enough to remember that the largest audience in France of the 21 stages of the 2026 Tour were recorded precisely in Montmartre, with a maximum of 8.3 million viewers.
At the moment, the non-presence of Montmartre in the 2027 Tour road book is not official. The doubt will be resolved next Thursday starting at 11:00 a.m., when the entire race route will be revealed from the Paris Congress Palacea gala that you can follow live on the Mundo Deportivo website.
