Suns’ Devin Booker (groin) misses game vs. Pistons
Suns guard Devin Booker will miss Saturday’s game against the Pistons due to left groin discomfort.
The All-Star point guard of the Phoenix Suns, Devin Bookerhas been ruled out for Saturday’s home game against the Detroit Pistons due to tightness in the left groin.
Booker, 28, did not practice Friday, a day after suffering the injury in the third quarter of a 120-111 loss to the visitors. Indiana Pacers.
Booker left with 5:18 left in the third quarter and was examined in the locker room before being ruled out. He had 17 points and six assists in 25 minutes and made 5 of 10 shots.
Phoenix has not yet given a timeline for how long Booker could be sidelined.
“Hopefully, it’s nothing serious,” Suns center Jusuf Nurkic said of Booker’s injury. “To me, it’s part of the game. We have to figure it out.”
Saturday will be the first game Booker misses of the season. He averages 25.1 points, 6.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds.
