Spain will host Uruguay, Chile and Samoa in the decisive phase of the Nations Cup

The Spanish XV rugby team already knows the schedules, rivals and venues of its next three Nations Cup matches 2026 (Nations Cup), which will complete its first edition in November as a new international competition for the teams qualified for the 2027 World Cup in Australia.

World Rugby confirmed this Monday the calendar for the second and final window of the tournament, which It will be held between November 6 and 21 in Europe and Asia and that will complete the six matches scheduled for each of the twelve participating teams.

Spain will face its three commitments at home against Uruguay, Chile and Samoa, in Madrid, Leganés and Málagarespectively.

‘Los Leones’ will open this second phase on Saturday, November 7 (4:00 p.m.) against Uruguay at the Complutense National Stadium in Madrid. A week later, on November 14 (5:00 p.m.), they will host Chile at the Ontime Butarque Stadium in Leganés (Madrid), and will close their participation on November 21 (5:00 p.m.) against Samoa at the Ciudad de Málaga Athletics Stadium.

Spain reaches this phase after having played its first three games in July, with victories against Tonga and the United States and a loss against Canada. The Spanish team currently occupies third position in group B, with nine points, behind Georgia and Portugal.

The Nations Cup, launched this year by World Rugby, brings together twelve teams that have qualified for the 2027 World Cup in Australia and is played in two international windows. The teams are divided into two groups of six and face the members of the other group, with the first place finisher of each being proclaimed champion at the end of the competition.
