Solana Sierra, champion at the WTA 125 in Mallorca! Argentina surpassed Lola Radivojevic (173rd), from Serbia, 6-3 and 6-1 in 1h 12min of action. From Monday, she will rise 15 places to be on the edge of the Top 70 in the women’s world rankings.

On her return to competition, after her last appearance at 125 in San Pablo, the 21-year-old tennis player landed on the clay in Mallorca to resume the last part of the calendar.

During her stay on the Spanish island, the top seed in the draw overcame the challenges proposed by Dalila Spiteri (6-4, 6-1), Guiomar Maristany (7-5, 6-4), Ekaterine Gorgodze (3-6, 6-0, 6-1), Andrea Lázaro García (6-2, 7-5) and Lola Radivojevic (6-3, 6-1).

The conquest of her sixteenth title as a professional, second in the category after the one she won in Antalya months ago, will mean a significant rise in the ranking of 15 positions to establish herself on the edge of the Top 70. A number that affirms her as the first racket in her country.

The native of Mar del Plata began the season as the 163rd and, thanks to outstanding performances such as her stellar qualification to the round of 16 at Wimbledon, she has managed to establish herself among the top 100 tennis players in the world.
