Sinner recognized the danger of facing Zverev in Indian Wells: “I have to be very careful”

Jannik Sinner (2nd ATP) did his homework very well in the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells Masters 1000. The Italian displayed his best version in the face of a dull Leaner Tien (27th) and dispatched him 6-1 and 6-2 in just over an hour to earn a place among the best four of the tournament.

And precisely in the semifinals a rival will appear who promises to take him to the limits: Alexander Zverev (3rd). The German arrives emboldened after his good performance in the quarterfinals against Arthur Fils (32nd) and the Italian player himself is aware of the danger that playing against him represents, as he made clear in a press conference.

“It’s going to be a very tough game. We know each other very well: against him you have to be as consistent as possible. At the same time, I know he’s going to change a few things, so I must be very careful. I’ve seen a couple of his matches and he’s playing tennis very well. I will try to give my best version,” began explaining the owner of four Grand Slam titles, who until now has never been able to win this tournament.

“It will be a game that will also depend on when and at what time of the day we playbecause that changes the dynamics of the confrontation a little. This is the type of match I prepare for, semi-finals of a big tournamentwith the occasion being ever greater.
