Sheinbaum: Rommel Pacheco does wonders with a budget
The 2025 National Sports Award ceremony was held with the notable presence of the cyclist Isaac Del Toro
This Friday the National Sports Delivery 2025 to different professional and non-professional athletes and coaches. With the presence of the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, 17 different sports personalities were recognized.
During the event, the head of the executive branch highlighted the work of Rommel Pachecowho is the head of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports, and the administration of the resources he manages for the benefit of athletes.
“Congratulate Romel Pacheco for the work you do in front of CONADE. We must tell him not to do so many things, because he does wonders with the resources he has and has changed federations and built a great relationship with all the athletes. He insisted that the athletes go to camps and work in different competitions to be able to work and improve, and we seek to support them in the best way,” he commented during his speech.
Sheinbaum Pardo He pointed out to athletes that they should feel proud to represent the country at the international level and assured that they have all the support to carry out their work.
“Congratulations to all the winners. I want to tell you that you are a source of pride for Mexico and on behalf of the people of Mexico I want to tell you the joy you bring. There are millions of us who see them; when they get a medal, they are a huge joy and we feel proud. Every time you participate in a competition, keep in mind how wonderful Mexico is. We are a great nation with enormous history, an ancient history, the great civilizations, even the native peoples of today, the cities and everywhere,” he commented.
For his part, Rommel Pacheco highlighted the financial prize that each of the winners receives, which is 795 thousand and five pesos.
“Scholarships for athletes increased by 36 percentwhich represents the most significant increase in the last 21 years. They receive a prize of close to 800 thousand pesos. Together we established the vision of a new innovative CONADE with athletes at the center of the decisions and, based on that mission, we implemented the National Plan for Sports with historic results, feats that remind us that we are on the right path, but there is much to do and transform. 19 medals were achieved in world championships and Olympic sports,” said the diver.

Ivar Sisniega highlights the good performance of the Mexican teams
The president of the Mexican Soccer Federation, Ivar Sisniegaassured that 2025 was a good year for the different categories of Mexican teams.
“It was a positive year for national teams. Not only the senior team, but all the teams,” said Sisniega about teams such as the Mexico U20 team or the U17 women’s team, which finished in third place in the world championship of the specialty.
