Santiago Buitrago, Top 20 at the Queen of the Daashiné Critérium

Three Colombians gave a show in the seventh stage of the Dauphiné criterium. Santiago Buitrago, Sergio Higita and Juan Guillermo Martínez were part of the escape and added points in the mountain ports.
The Queen of the French race ended with triumph for the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, who escaped alone in the last kilometers to pass the goal with 14 ‘seconds of advantage over Jonas Vingegaard.
The best of Colombians was Santiago Buitrago arriving in box 19 ‘to 08’ 01 of the winner of this Saturday. The Bahrein team cyclist added points in the mountain ports and was close to the best climber in the race.
A total of 15 runners went ahead and took an advantage that came to exceed two minutes in relation to the platoon. Among the cyclists who went in search of victory were Buitrago, Higuita and Martínez.
In the final part of the race, Colombians were absorbed by the platoon and remained in the grupete for several kilometers until the end in mountainous terrain came where they gave time with the candidates for the title.
In the general classification the best of coffee runners is Santiago Buitrago in box 22, Esteban Chaves position 23 and Sergio Higita position 25.
