Real Madrid wants Mayra Ramírez to partner with Linda
Real Madrid is interested in signing Chelsea’s Colombian striker Mayra Ramírez, according to various sources that have informed AM850.
At 26 years old, Mayra has established herself as one of the most complete forwards in Europe and, from the sports management of the white club, they consider that with her they would give the leap in quality that they so much need in attack.
At Real Madrid they value the Colombian’s physical power and ease of finding goals ahead of a summer in which they expect reinforcements to try to establish themselves as one of the leading teams in Europe.
The white club reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League last season, losing against Arsenal, the current champion, and in this edition they have already reached the same round, in which they will play against Barcelona.
Mayra would arrive in Valdebebas to form a duo with Linda Caicedo, the great star of the white team that was recently renewed until 2030.
However, the sources consulted by AM850 admit that the signing of the Colombian international will not be easy since she has a contract with Chelsea until 2028. In addition, they remember that the blue team paid 500 thousand euros for Mayra Ramírez to Levante in 2024, a record figure at that time in women’s soccer.
The other question for her arrival at Real Madrid is the physical issue since the Colombian has not played an official match since August 2, 2025, when she lost the Copa América final against Brazil with the Colombian national team.
The Chelsea forward had to undergo surgery for a hamstring problem after being injured in a friendly match against Milan on August 30 and has not been able to return to the field since.
Furthermore, her coach at Chelsea, Sonia Bompastor, revealed in March that Mayra suffered a relapse when she was already close to making a comeback: “Mayra was progressing well, but she got injured again during her rehabilitation. It has been a very difficult season for her and I don’t know if we will see her until the end of the season, unfortunately,” said Bompastor.
Madrid, according to sources, will be closely monitoring his evolution in the final months of the season to try to sign him in the summer market.
