Pierre Gasly will leave from boxes in the Italy GP

The team decided to break the closed park and the Frenchman will leave its place of departure from Monza, 16th F1 date.

The Formula 1 regulation is clear: within two hours after the completion of the classification, all cars must be covered within their box, and sealed by the FIAand you can’t work back on the car until Sunday morning. Team that does not meet that, is penalized. That happened with Alpine in the GP of Italy, 16th date of 2025.

The veterans of the International Automobile Federation confirmed in Monza that, after two hours of the end of the qualy, Alpine’s mechanics were working in car number 10, that of Pierre Gasly. The report, as in these cases, was elevated to the sports commissioners, who sanctioned the Frenchman: You must start from boxes and leave your starting drawer.

Gasly was 19th in the Italian classification, just behind Franco Colapinto, his teammate. Both the Argentine and the Frenchman advanced a position for the change of power unit that Racing Bulls made in the car of Isack Hadjar. Thus, they had to chop 17 and 18.
