Pep Guardiolatechnician Manchester Cityappealed to the transfer market to improve their current situation, with one victory in the last thirteen games.

Before the 1-1 draw against Everton on Boxing Day, the Spanish coach confirmed that they are going to try to incorporate players in the winter market.

“We have to sign players, for sure,” Guardiola said on Amazon Prime. “We are having problems in defense and in the midfield, so we have to sign. But even if I say this, I don’t know what will happen. The winter market is not easy, and everyone knows it. “Even our players are aware of our situation and what we have to do.”

City faced the Everton game with eight losses from the first team, more than in any other game of the season, and with six youth players on the bench plus goalkeeper Scott Carson, who has played one league game since 2018-2019.

After the draw against the ‘Toffees’, which means that they can remain 17 points behind the leader, Liverpool, Guardiola assured that they played well in all areas, but that they could not win.

“We accept it, it’s life. We didn’t expect not to win so many games, but what are we going to do? We have to continue.”
