Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark lead WNBA All-Star selection
Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark were the players most voted for by the fans for the ‘All-Star’ of the WNBA which will be played next week in Chicago (United States), as reported by the league this Wednesday.
Bueckers of the Dallas Wings received 1,045,051 votes, while Clark (Indiana Fever) received 1,023,321.
The WNBA entrusted two of its legends, Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoonthe selection of the two teams that, with Bueckers and Clark at the helm, are going to face each other in the All Star Game in Chicago.
The ‘Team Spoon’, chosen by Weatherspoon, will feature A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces), Olivia Miles (Minnesota Lynx), Aliyah Boston (Indiana Fever) and Jessica Shepard (Dallas Wings), in addition to Clark, in the starting team.
For its part, the ‘Team Coop’ quintet, chosen by Cooper, is completed, along with Bueckers, Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty), Kelsey Mitchell (Indiana Fever), Natasha Howard (Minnesota Lynx) and Gabby Williams (Golden State Valkyries).
Miles, a member of ‘Team Spoon’, is the only ‘rookie’ in this All-Star, after being selected with number two in the last draft.
The All Star Game will take place on July 25 at the United Center in Chicago, the home of the NBA Bulls.
