The star of Los Angeles Dodgers, Shohei Ohtaniand its Wife, Mamiko Tanaka, They announced he birth his First child Saturday.

“I am very grateful to my beloved wife, who gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter,” Ohtani wrote in an Instagram post. “To my daughter, thanks for making us feel as nervous and the time as anxious as parents.”

The Dodgers included Ohtani in the MLB paternity list before the first game of the series Friday night against the Texas Rangers. Manager Dave Roberts said before Saturday’s game that he was hoping that Ohtani will return to the club for the last game of the series on Sunday.

Ohtani can miss up to three games during his paternity license. The Dodgers have a free day on Monday and then play against the Cubs in Chicago on Tuesday.

Ohtani, 30, published on his Instagram account at the end of December that he and Tanaka, 28, former professional basketball player of his native Japan, waited for a baby by 2025.
