Ohtani and Freeman, heroes of World Series J3

Shohei Ohtani reached base all nine times he came up to bat in the game and Freddie Freeman finishes an 18-inning game with a home run

The next time they name or rename a street near Dodger Stadium, they will probably have to name it Shohei Ohtani

And an intersection called Freddie Freemanwho in the inning 18 with home run put to the Dodgers to half way of the two-time championship of the Major Leagues.

The Japanese superstar put on the superhero cape again to Los Angeles Dodgers who beat the 6-5 Toronto Blue Jays and, more importantly, they took a 2-1 lead in the World Series on Monday night.

There was a moment that seemed like it was Ohtani against the Blue Jays: He hit his first home run in the third inning, just one after Teóscar Hernández’s opener. At that moment it was 2-0.

In the bottom of the seventh he hit his second home run of the night to tie it at 5-5 in a game that seemed like the Blue Jays pitching was becoming more and more dominant and just one inning after Toronto had taken the lead against the Dodgers bullpen.

In the middle he hit a double to open the game as the Dodgers’ first batter and repeated the dose in the fifth inning to put Kiké Hernández home with the Dodgers’ third run.

In the end, Ohtani went home after reaching base nine times, including two home runs, two doubles, three RBIs and five walks, just 10 days after he had hit three home runs in the final game of the Championship Series.

Freeman drove in the winning run six hours and 40 minutes into the game.

Both heroes went to rest, but Ohtani intended to open Tuesday’s game.
