Official: more talent for Peñarroya

After having announced in recent weeks up to seven new additions for the new 2026-27 academic year that is approaching in the Euroleaguehe Partizan of Joan Penarroya continues to add talent to its ranks.

This Sunday, the Belgrade team made official the arrival of the talented Puerto Rican guard Ethan Thompson for the next two campaigns. The player, experienced these last five seasons in different teams of the G-League and with 32 games of experience in the NBA in 2025-26 with the Indiana Pacerslands for the first time in European basketball after his name came to the fore in recent weeks to make the leap to the top continental competition.

Thompson27 years old and also international with Puerto Rico, is already the eighth incorporation for Joan Penarroya after the signings of Lamar Stevens, Kevarrius Hayes, Alessandro Pajola, Nikola Tanaskovic, Luca Vildoza, Derek Willis and Kyle Allman. After being released by the Pacers a few days ago, the guard arrives to reinforce the outside game of the Balkan team, where he is expected to have a leading role at the scoring level.

This last campaign, Ethan Thompson he had his best season in the G-League with averages of 26.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per match. That earned him his first opportunity in the NBA with Indiana, where the former Oregon State University player registered 7.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 32 games.
