New Argentine record on Italian soil! Horacio Zeballos (7th) and Marcel Granollers (8th) they opened the curtain ATP Finals 2025 with an important action against the Germans Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz. The victory, 6-4, 4-6 and 10-6 in 1h 33min of the match, allowed the player from Mar del Plata to become the first in his country to reach 400 games won in the modality.

In their sixth appearance as a team in the tournament that brings together the eight best teams of the season, the Spanish-Argentine duo opened the curtain ratifying an excellent year translated into the conquest of 5 titles, among them, the most important of their experienced careers: Roland Garros and the US Open. An achievement that, after so many years competing together and with three lost Grand Slam finals in the past, further strengthened them as the specialists they are.

Among their most outstanding performances in the ATP Finals, the definition they played in 2023, losing to Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury, stands out. Then, the 40-year-old Argentine became the first from his country to enter that stage of the contest. And, if he wins this edition, he would be the first in South America to acquire this achievement.
