Miami does not hesitate with Larsson

The Miami Heat keep their confidence in the Swede Pelle Larsson intact. After the now 25-year-old guard established himself this last year as a valuable asset for Erik Spoelstra’s rotation, this Friday the franchise wanted to take another step.

According to ESPN, Larsson reached an agreement to sign his long-term continuity with the Heat, and will sign a new contract worth $60 million for the next four seasons, until 2031, the last one with a ‘mutual’ option.

The Swedish guard came to the South Beach franchise in the 2024 Draft, where he was chosen in the middle of the second round with pick number 44 from the University of Arizona. After two seasons in the Heat, it was not until his second campaign where he took a leap in quality, confirming himself as a sure thing for his coach Spoelstra. In 2025-26, he averaged 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 70 games played, 54 of them starting from the starting five, also ranking among the ten NBA players who caused the most offensive fouls.

It should be remembered that, on the other hand, Larsson was going to become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2027 if both parties did not reach an agreement.
