Metropolitan Tournament 2026: What are the passing rules like?
Any player can change clubs, but there are a series of rules to follow for that to happen. First, you must request the start of the transfer process at the destination club, but if that person has already played an official match with the club of origin, you will have to wait until next year to process the transfer to the new club. The only exception is towards those 10th, 9th, 8th players. and 7th. division that have participated in a maximum of two games in the calendar year.
If the club of origin does not initiate and/or sign the pass request, it will have up to five days to explain why it does not do so, otherwise the Association will grant that pass.
How many pass slots does each category have?
The First, Intermediate and 5th division of categories C to G ladies, Metro Sunday, men B and C and Seconds and Fourths will have a maximum of four passes (including interfederative -that is, between federations-).
In category A and B women, and A men, it is limited to three, only one interfederation per category. From 6th division to 10th, there is no limit in any strip and in any category. No more than four players from the same club may register during the calendar year.
Furthermore, there is a exception for family integration: “When four players are received from the same Club, an additional player from the same Institution may be added by exception as long as he/she corresponds to a player from the 8th or 9th division and is the brother of one of the players included in the quota”, says the bulletin.
When can you apply for a pass? From January 15 to September 30, 2026 inclusive in all categories. The pass book closes in September and reopens on January 15 of next year.
