Mercury’s Satou Sabally leaves game after apparent head injury
Satou Sabally was injured when he fell chasing a rebound with 4:26 remaining in the game. A foul was called on the Aces’ Jackie Young on the play.
PHOENIX — Forward Satou Sabally, of the Phoenix Mercurywas helped off the field in the last quarter of the third game of the WNBA Finals Wednesday after his head collided with the leg of Las Vegas Aces defenseman Kierstan Bell.
Sabally was injured when he fell chasing a rebound with 4:26 left in the game. A foul was called on the Aces’ Jackie Young on the play. Sabally remained on the ground for several minutes and appeared dizzy as she left the court with assistance. He did not return to the game.
Sabally, in his first season with the Mercury, scored 24 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and gave 3 assists in the game.
The Aces took the 90-88 victory and have taken a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
