The classical editing uniforms have identical elements to the original 2001 uniform, including a black base with the word “Memphis” in an elegant source and asymmetric trotters in red, turquoise and white. The “Claw Ball” logo appears at the bottom of the neck, which was the secondary logo of the Vancouver team and premiered in a shirt in 2000.
The uniform shorts wear the leg of the leg footprint in the belt of the belt, which was introduced into the Vancouver court in 1995. The logo appeared for the first time in the uniform in the 1997-98 season.
The “G-Swipe” logo, the original secondary logo of the Grizzlies, appears on the right side of the shorts.
The Grizzlies had Vancouver as their home for six seasons (1995-2001) before moving to Memphis, taking their alternative uniform. As part of the move, they replaced the “Vancouver Grizzlies” logo in the chest by “Memphis”.
During the three seasons of the franchise in Memphis (2001-04), the Grizzlies wore the name of the city in the chest of their shirts, both of local and visitor, which made them one of the few NBA franchises to do so.
They were used at a time when Pau Gasol, Jason Williams and Earl Watson wore the uniforms under the direction of Hubie Brown.
Memphis also dressed the black uniform of classical editing in the 2020-21 season.
