Max Verstappen, the happiest of Imala

The winner of the Emilia-Romagna GP explained how the maneuver of the first round was in which he surpassed Oscar Piastri and sentenced the seventh F1 date.
There were three pilots sitting in the armchairs of the Press Conference Room of the Emilia-Romagna GP, seventh date of the F1 World Cup. Normal, the three of the podium. Of course, only one was happy: Max Verstappen. To his right, Lando Norris, with the right leg collected below the left and with his head resting on his hand, scrapped. To his left, Oscar Piastri, usually a weathering, with a granite mentality. His moods do not demonstrate much (point in favor for an elite athlete), but Max is happy with his 65th win in Formula 1, the second of the season after the one achieved in Japan.
Verstappen’s triumph was built with a great maneuver in the first round, after not having made a good game. And he told so in the press conference room: “The exit was not so spectacular, but luckily the curve two went quite well. It was quite behind. That is, before stopping, I was practically in the third position. But I was in the normal braking trace. Even so, I had to go back from afar. Then I franted late and when I released, I thought: ‘There could be an overtaking.’ So simply keep the speed. And luckily, he remained. It is not an easy overtaking, we had to be very precision. But luckily, everything went well, ”said the Tetracampéon.
Of course, once ahead came the time to endure the rhythm. “I was happy to be in first, but I was not yet at all safe than we were going to be, because I was also leading in Miami, but we didn’t have a good rhythm there. So I tried to follow my rhythm a bit.”
The RB21 responded well in Icola, a path of fast curves that always fell well to the car and Max. “I think the car felt a little better, a little more controlled when driving, also in long batches, and that helped me take care of the tires a little more than normal. It was quite surprising, but, of course, I am very happy with what we show today. I just hope we can show this type of performance more frequently. ”
