Mariners close the exchange for Eugenio Suárez de los D-backs, Fuentes
Mariners is back to Eugenio Suárez, who played in 2022 and 2023 with Seattle, before being exchanged for Diamondbacks
The Seattle Mariners reached an agreement to acquire the third base Eugenio Suárez de los Arizona Diamondbacks, Fuentes reported Jeff Passanof AM850Wednesday night.
The exchange is pending medical review. On Monday, Suarez received a blow to the right index finger, but a computerized tomography and a magnetic resonance discarded fractures. He returned to Lineup on Wednesday and left 4-1 with a double in the 7-2 defeat against the Detroit Tigers.
It was not immediately known to whom Seattle would send to Arizona in return.
The agreement sends him back to Seattle, where he played in 2022 and 2023 before being exchanged by the Mariners to the diamondbacks.
The 34 -year -old is in his last year of contract and is positioned as one of the best players in the League, which is why he was one of the most coveted names in the exchanging market before the deadline on Thursday.
