LOS ANGELES — Luka Doncic was fined $50,000 for making an “inappropriate and unprofessional gesture” towards a referee during the victory of Los Angeles Lakers 110-97 over the New York Knicks, the NBA announced Tuesday.
With 4:35 left in the third quarter on Sunday, Luka Doncic He attempted to draw a foul on Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara, but was assessed a blocking foul.

The fine represents approximately 0.109% of Doncic’s $46 million salary this season.
Doncic has had frequent run-ins with referees around the league this season, drawing 15 technical fouls in 52 games. If you receive the sixteenth technical foul, you must serve a one-game suspension.
The Lakers (39-25) host the Minnesota Timberwolves (40-24) on Tuesday night.
