Luka Doncic continues to be a scoring machine and the Lakers are already close to the lead in the West
The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most in-form teams at the start of the 26/27 NBA season. Those from California visited the Sacramento Kings court, one of the weakest teams at this start of the year in the Western Conference and, thanks to an excellent Luka Doncic, that adds three consecutive games of 40 points or more, the Angelenos had no problem taking the victory at home.
There was a strong start for Sacramento at home with a really successful first quarter. However, the Lakers immediately balanced the game and, thanks to a consecutive streak of 11 points in the second quarter, they went into the relegation ahead. The second half was much more peaceful for the Angelenos and in the last quarter they only had to manage a difference of +15. Finally, the score remained at 103-116 in favor of JJ Reddick’s team.
Doncic was the best of the game again and continues with a scoring level of another league. In addition to his 40 points, including six triples, he managed to sign another seven assists and nine rebounds. The numbers in this league start are truly outrageous. Austin Reaves was once again the Slovenian’s best partner and finished the duel with 21 points in his locker.
For the Kings, Acuff Jr and Zach Lavine were the top scorers with 22 and 21 points, respectively. The one who did not have the best day was Domantas Sabonis who finished with a -17 in the +/- with him on the track.
With this new victory, The Lakers are second in the Western Conference with a 7-2 record. Only the Blazzers are ahead at 6-1. Precisely, the Lakers’ next duel is against Portland in the second game of the NBA Cup. For their part, the Kings sink even further with one victory and seven losses in total
