Lucía Galazzi, the captain of a very united Ducilo
Lucía Galazzi is the captain of Ducilo’s Primera Aa team that recently was about to be promoted, reached the final of the Buenos Aires Cup and played a Super 8 – where they finished third -, the most important club tournament in the country. The Barrio Ducilero is a club that has grown a lot in recent years, both for women and men.
“We seek luck by working as a team, training a lot and strengthening the group a lot,” Lucia said. In addition to being one of the leaders and the captain, she knows a lot about the men’s First A players, and knows all the effort that goes into it. In 2025 they played the Super 8, the tournament where the best clubs in Argentina compete, and won bronze. “We had to play a super important tournament for us. We had earned it, we deserved to play it, and finishing third was a recognition of all the work we had been doing for years”he added. With all the support of their family, friends and the youth players, they really feel that company that is so necessary on a daily basis.
But sometimes one cannot give as much as one would like, and it is difficult to set an example. That’s when having people on the other side who can support you when you can’t is important. “I also rely a lot on other references from the team who are always there, on my family when sometimes I am exhausted or feel that things are not working out for me”. They are a group of players who have the “role” of leaders, and always work together not only to get ahead on the field, but to be able to solve any eventuality that happens, which they could not do alone.
