PHOENIX — Las Vegas Aces they defeated the Phoenix Mercury 97-86 in a dominant performance Friday night to win their third championship of the WNBA in four years and cement their status as the league’s reigning dynasty.
The Aces completed a 4-0 sweep of the Mercury in the first WNBA Finals best of seven in league history.
Superstar A’ja Wilson, who scored 31 points in the deciding game en route to being named Finals MVPbelieves they can set the bar even higher.
“It’s a good step toward a dynasty feel,” Wilson said. “Obviously, we want to win more to consolidate it. But this is something that can never be taken away from us.”

“Credit goes to the players,” said Becky Hammon, who took over as Aces coach in 2022 and is 28-9 in playoff games in her four seasons. “They did all the work.”
