Juan Imhoff’s exciting message after his retirement from professional rugby
Juan Imhoff confirmed the end of his career in professional rugby at the age of 35. The winger reached 43 games with the Albiceleste shirt, in which he scored a total of 17 tries, being the all-time highest tryman for the Argentine national team in World Cups.
The Argentine winger took advantage of his Instagram account to publish a post, in which he thanked them for the support during his career and said goodbye. “Don’t tell me anything, life is short when being happy is what matters. Thank you all for your unconditional support, I will always be grateful for having represented you and for everything that I had to experience! See you later,” he wrote.
His former teammates and other notables took the opportunity to send him a heartfelt message of support in the comments. Rodrigo Isgro, Santiago Garcia Botta, Jerónimo de la Fuente, Lautaro Bazan Velez, Augustine Creevy, Leonardo Senatore, Gaston Revol, Marcos Moneta and Martin Landajoamong others, filled him with praise and gratitude.
The back debuted with The Pumas in 2010 and played the World Cups of 2011, 2015 and 2023being the historic tryman of the team with 7 (35 points) conquests in 11 games disputed. He also disputed 43 matches in which he scored 17 tries and they position him as the team’s sixth highest scorer in its history.
