Jesica Hambra, the historic figure of Banco Hipotecario
Jessica Hambra, Smileys For friends, he has been playing for Banco Hipotecario for 38 years. With an immense love for his club and for the sport, he is an eminence within Banco, and this year he decided to play one more season in the B squad. In an exclusive note with AM850.com, he told us why he continues to choose the sport.
At 45 years old, she started playing at age 7, she saw the club grow alongside her. “We played on a grass field, in 2016 we managed to make a synthetic sand field and today we have our barbecue area. It is a great pride for us because we do everything with our lungs”he commented. When the club started it had only one strip, and today they have two, in addition to a Second and a group of mommies. With all the youth players, Caritas only wants to see Banco Hipotecario grow.
Founded in 1956, Banco Hipotecario is 69 years old, and Jesica was a participant in everything that happened within the institution. “It became a big family. As time went by, I think we became more and more united in making this happen.”
Banco became his second home, where he is always from morning to night. “Today I continue doing it out of love and passion for the club. I have youth players too, and it motivates me to show them that you can continue beyond your age, that you can continue training, that if you want you can continue trying and competing.”said. His legacy is one of sacrifice and love for everything he does within the institution, and as the players and club staff said: “Caritas is an eminence.”
It is a motivation, not only for the Hipotecario players, but for all hockey players. His predisposition, discipline and passion show that age is a number. “To big people like me who say that the body doesn’t give me more, I tell them: it doesn’t give me more either, but it’s the heart that gives me a little more than the body.”
But he still has a dream to fulfill. One would think that it would mean that his category was promoted, but his response demonstrates his feelings towards his lifelong club: “Hopefully we can achieve promotion in both strips, both A and B, the Second and that rugby also does very well, so we can all celebrate a great year”he finished.
