Jefferson Cepeda is Ecuador’s new casualty in the Cycling World Cup

Last Sunday Richard Carapaz confirmed his non-participation in the Zurich 2024 Cycling World Cup, after which a new member of the Ecuadorian delegation will not be in the great road race.

The Ecuadorian Cycling Federation announced the withdrawal of Jefferson Cepeda. The native tested positive for COVID-19 and for this reason he will not compete in the World Cup road test.

Without Richard Carapaz and Jefferson Cepeda, the only representatives of the elite category that Ecuador will have are Jonathan Caicedo and Alexander Cepeda.

The road test of the Zurich 2024 Cycling World Cup will be this Sunday at 3:00 a.m. in Ecuador. It is worth mentioning that the route is 273.9 kilometers.
