Rayo Vallecano lost again in the Spanish League, this time against Athletic Club de Bilbao by 2-1, and again James Rodríguez watched the entire game from the substitute bench. What are your numbers like this season in Spain?

James’ arrival in Spain implied a dream for Colombians and for Rayo. The MVP of the Copa América returned to the Old Continent, to a top-level league, and with the hope of being once again on the front pages of world football.

None of that could happen yet.. Since landing, coach Iñigo Pérez has relegated the Colombian, who added a handful of minutes in the Vallecas squad and accumulate two consecutive games without even entering a few seconds.

With coach Pérez, James only started onceagainst Leganés on matchday 8 of LaLiga.

Afterwards, all his minutes were coming from the bench. He could not get a goal or assist and received a yellow card in the 6 games he was able to play.

In total, takes 136 minutesthat is, less than two complete games. Since his hiring, Rayo played 11 games and James was left on the bench without entering 4 of them.

In the midst of this, James continued to be taken into account by Néstor Lorenzo and remains a key piece of the Colombian National Team in the Qualifiers.

Against Athletic, he added his second substitute in a row without entering the playing field. He had also not entered the 1-0 loss against Sevilla, which generated criticism of Iñigo Pérez.

What will happen to James at Rayo Vallecano?
