Iyana Martín is already training with Spar Girona: “We are creating connections to arrive prepared”

Just a few days after winning the bronze medal in the World with the Spanish team, Iyana Martin already works under the orders of Spar Girona. The talented Madrid base completed its first session in Fontajau and she did not hide her enthusiasm upon joining the Catalan team: “The truth is, I’m very happy. I really wanted to come,” she admitted as soon as the training session finished.

The new red and black player appreciated the respite granted by the entity after the demanding international event: “Grateful because Girona has given me a couple of days of rest at home to organize myself a little and arrive calmly, which I needed.”

Her integration with the locker room and the technicians has been immediate from the first contact: “Getting to know the team, the staff. First training, the truth is, very comfortable, very happy. The team has helped me feel comfortable, to organize myself a little,” she explained, acknowledging that she is “looking forward to the 30th.”

With her sights set on that debut, the game director wanted to send a direct message to her new fans: “I really want to meet you, we are waiting for you in Fontajau.” For Martinthe key to these weeks is the chemistry of the block: “We are preparing and creating the connections between us necessary to arrive super prepared; I look forward to seeing them.”
