Felix Auger-Aliassime (8th in the world ranking) He ends 2025 at the best moment of his career. After having achieved 48 wins this year, with 22 losses, and three titles (Adelaide, Montpellier and Brussels), it will be number 5 on the planet starting next week, as a result of the semifinals reached in the ATP Finals.

It should be noted that he also came from being a finalist in the Paris Masters 1000 (he was also a finalist in Dubai), where he lost to Jannik Sinner (2nd). In Turin, for his part, it was Carlos Alcaraz (1st) who beat him, convincingly 6-2 and 6-4.

After his elimination in the Masters Tournament, he went to the press conference and found good feelings: “I have made a lot of progress this year. Since I was a child I have always believed it, and my ambition was to win Grand Slams and be number one in the world. I’ve had ups and downs, but honestly, despite everything, I always believed I could do it, and I still believe today.. Now it’s about doing the right thing to improve. If I do, we’ll see how far I go.”

On the other hand, he referred to the dominance of Alcaraz and Sinner: “The ranking does not lie, they are the two best players, it is a fact. They have different playing styles, but they both exert extreme pressure on their opponent in different ways. It is not even necessary to explain how they play, we all know it. We have seen them play in recent years. We know what to expect, they continue to prove their worth and play well, we must give them credit.”
