“I like him as a player, but not as a person: I don’t know if I would sign him”

TO Ronald de Boer (56) would not like to see Noah Lang in it Ajax. This was made known last week, when during a talk on the country’s TV he recommended that the Amsterdam club refrain from bringing the 27-year-old Dutch footballer from Naples. Not because he didn’t like him as a footballer but because he doubts him as a person. In recent days there has been talk about the possibility of Lang arriving if it is confirmed that Mika Godts is leaving for PSG.

“I love Lang as a footballer, but not as a person. I don’t know if Ajax is doing the right thing by trying to bring him in,” said the former Barcelona player. Lang responded on Instagram: “Talking nonsense about my name to get personal attention, part 764886,” writes the attacker under the ‘Ziggo Spor’t video in which De Boer talks about him.

De Boer also questioned Lang’s recent track record. “If he had been that good, he would have stayed at Napoli and Galatasaray. There’s something wrong with that kid. He tends to be a bit of a problem, everyone has heard that. Plus, he’s usually busy with other things, like making music. I hope he proves me wrong if he finally comes. I’ll be the first to admit my mistake then.”
