How Olivos prepares before the game against Belgrano
On Saturday, November 1st, they face each other Belgrano and Olive treesthe two leaders of the Metropolitan B Tournament. The leader visits the Munro club, in a duel that could define the first promotion of the category. Olivos forward Luciana Saad spoke with AM850.com about how they are preparing for this match.
“We know that it is going to be a tough and physically intense game. The reality is that throughout the year we have been working a lot on intensity, the transitions between attack and defense. Mentality is also fundamental, so we stay motivated, connected and focused at all times,” he commented.
The team coached by Juan Manuel Vivaldi has just lost 3 to 1 away from home against Regatas BV, and is in second position with 47 points, the product of 14 games won, five tied and five lost. Belgrano has 51 points, and if he wins it would be the first promotion. If Olivos wins, they get closer and are one point ahead of Pinazo’s team, but it would take away that possibility of promotion one date before the tournament ends.
“What we have to do well is basically impose ourselves, manage our times. Focus on having a solid defense, making the collective game flow and not lose patience. The key to this match is the short corners for and against”, Luciana said. The B tournament is very even, and if Olivos manages to be promoted it would be a huge achievement for the club. Last year they had played the playoffs against San Lorenzo, who won and maintained the category. This year, he has revenge in a more direct way, with the opportunity to do so directly and continue writing the history of the club.
