Hornets, Pistons and Magic, the winners of the NBA night

Charlotte Hornets chained his fifth consecutive victory thanks to a 114-103 against the New York Knickswhich interrupted its seven-game winning streak and moved away from second place in the NBA East.

The Knicks are third with a record of 48-26, while Boston Celticssecond, is 46-26 with just over two weeks left in the regular season.

The Hornets shot 52.6% from the field, led by Kon Knueppel with 26 points, eleven rebounds and eight assists.

LaMelo Ball scored 22 points, Brandon Miller contributed 21 and Coby White added 17 off the bench for the Hornets, who are eighth in the East (39-34).

The Knicks gave up despite Jalen Brunson’s 26 points and thirteen assists. Dominican Karl Anthony Towns contributed thirteen points with five of eight field goals in 21 minutes.

Detroit Pistons, for their part, are closer to first place in the East after their solid 129-108 victory at home against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Without Cade Cunningham, out due to a collapsed lung, center Jalen Duren led the Pistons with 30 points, ten rebounds and seven assists.

Kevin Huerter scored 22 and Daniss Jenkins contributed 19 for the Pistons, who lead the East with a record of 53-20.

In the other match played in the reduced program this Thursday, Orlando Magic beat the Sacramento Kings 121-117 at home with 30 points from Paolo Banchero.
