The Argentine driver was frustrated by the poor performance of the Alpine, with which he could do little in the Singapore GP.

Franco Colapinto didn’t even have a smile to show when he stood before the AM850 microphone after being 16th in the Singapore GP. His good start, in which he overtook three cars, was the only moment to enjoy. The rest was suffering from the lack of speed and rhythm on the A525 and losing positions.

“It was a very frustrating race. I put a lot of effort into it, but nothing comes out. We are going very slowly. At times the car is unmanageable. I don’t understand why we are going so slow, so much slower than others. Frustrating and bad race, very slow,” said the Argentinewith a grim gesture.

In the game, he emulated his great move in the first corner of Marina Bay that he had made in 2024 with Williams. Asked about this, Franco was sincere: “Last year I showed myself more and I could make good starts like today, but I could hold on. But now I’m going slowly, far from the others. It’s a long and frustrating race when everyone passes you. Everyone passed me. If I defended myself at the entrance to the corners, they passed me at the exit.”

Regarding the crazy strategy that he had mentioned in the previous one, he noted: “It was very long, 50 laps with the medium tire, which after 15 was no longer enough… Which of the two stints was better? “Both, a disaster.”
