Franco Colapinto and his message to the members of Alpine
After the Chinese GP in which he achieved his first point since joining the French team, the Argentine returned to the Enstone plant and gave a speech.
The Chinese GP marked Franco Colapinto’s best performance since his arrival in Formula 1. It was not his highest result, because he did not surpass the eighth place in Azerbaijan 2024 with Williams, but his work in Shanghai was the highest in terms of conduction since his debut. The Argentine was tenth and scored his first point on the team. After the Chinese competition and before settling in Japan for the third date, scheduled for March 29, the teams returned to their plants to carry out work prior to landing in Suzuka. As usually happens, the drivers take the opportunity to speak with the members of the teams and make a return of the competitions held.
Colpainto arrived at Enstone, took the microphone and spoke to all the members of Alpine. “I just wanted to be here today. The briefings are really difficult, they don’t always go well, but I think this is the first one in which we have had excellent results and we have had a good start to the year,” the Buenos Aires native began by saying.
“That’s what I was really excited about, so I just wanted to tell you. I’m very proud of the effort you put in over the winter, you created a really fast car, we’ve taken a giant step. There’s still a lot more we want to achieve together and I know you all have great motivation and “They are trying very hard not only to be in the top ten, but to be at the front and fight for points, and that is where we want to go and what we want to achieve in the future,” he added.
For Colapinto and Alpine there is the Japanese GP on the last weekend of March before entering a five-week break without races, after the cancellations of the races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia due to the war in the Middle East.
