The Argentine pilot arrived at the variant just behind Lance Stroll, in the middle of the large pile of cars in a major braking zone. Colapinto was squeezed by the Canadian, he had to go through the dirty part and even touched the grass. Result: he went into a spin.

Colapinto did not suffer a touch or damage to his A525 and resumed driving, although separated from those in front due to the lost time. “Come on, you’re okay,” they told him over the radio.
