Formula 1 will boost Madrid with 467 million euros and 8,850 jobs

The president of the executive committee of IFEMA Madrid, José Vicente de los Mozos, highlighted in a statement from Madring that the “extraordinary capacity of the Grand Prix to generate wealth” confirms the role of the institution as “one of the main economic drivers of the region.”

The study indicates that the influx of fans will especially boost sectors such as hospitality, with an estimated impact of 59 million euros, transport (22 million) and commerce (18 million).

It also foresees benefits for the manufacturing industry (72 million)construction (50 million), professional activities (33 million) and information and communications (19 million), as a consequence of the organization and production of the event.

The 2026 Spanish Grand Prix will mark the debut of Madring as the headquarters of the Formula 1 World Championshipwith a hybrid circuit of 5.4 kilometers and 22 curves located in the vicinity of IFEMA Madrid. According to the organization, it will be one of the best connected routes on the calendar.
