FIATC Girona and Asisa Joventut kick off an exciting season
He FIATC Girona and the Asisa Joventut Today they officially kicked off the 2026/27 preseason with the first training session on the court at the Fontajau Pavilion and the Badalona Olympic Stadium, respectively.
After the medical examinations and the relevant physical tests, the FIATC Girona has begun to work under the direction of Moncho Fernandez and his coaching staff. The group completed the first day of work with the aim of laying the foundations for a demanding season, in which FIATC Girona will face, in addition to the national competition, the challenge of competing in a European competition for the first time, the FIBA European Cup.

Likewise, the ASISA Joventut It has also started with its first training session at the Olímpic with new faces, thus starting a new season full of excitement, challenges and great objectives. The team faces the first weeks of preparation with an eye toward a calendar that will progressively increase in demand. The Catalan club will hold a five-day training camp in Asturias (from August 26 to 30) to continue preparing the team, and on the 29th they will play their first preseason match against Monbus Obradoiro (9:00 p.m., Gijón).
The preseason will continue with two friendly matches in Sant Julià de Vilatorta, against Kids&US Manresa (September 3, 8:30 p.m.) and Ratiopharm Ulm (September 6, 1:00 p.m.), before the time comes to compete for the first titles of the season, the Catalan League and the Endesa Super Cup.
