F1: Monaco GP would have a separate regulation
The FIA and the category closed ranks so that the career in the Street of the Principality has more stops in boxes and thus improve the show. Only confirmation is missing.
The Sopor generated by the 2024 Monaco GP left sequels. An accident that involved three cars in the game caused the immediate red flag. What did the teams do? They took advantage of the break to change the covers of their cars and had already fulfilled the requirement to meet at least one detention and the obligation to use two different compounds. From there, a tree of cars that were not passed (something almost impossible in the intricate and urban narrow), with Charles Leclerc dominating on the tip with a very slow pace to prevent their tires from getting wear.
Formula 1 and the FIA collected the boredom glove that was lived that day, that not even the Monegasco glamor could hide, and decided to implement a modification for the 2025 edition of the Monaco competition and put into play a special and particular regulation. Already in itself, the Monegasca appointment has concessions, because it is the only to generate more strategies and possibilities to change the destiny of competition. The idea came out of the meeting that Stefano Domenicali (CEO of F1) and Nikolas Tombazis, responsible for fia cars on Wednesday.
The proposal is made and only The approval of the Sports Advisory Committee is missingthat will meet in the coming weeks. Regarding the technical changes, it was confirmed that stricter tests will be carried out to the flexion of the front alerons from the GP of Spain and in the rear wings will be firmer from the beginning, scheduled for March 16 in Australia.
