F1: Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc must continue waiting
While a broad package of updates for the SF-25 from Icola was awaited, from Ferrari they warned that it will finally be somewhat lower.
Ferrari’s lean acting in the Miami GP raised Polvarheda inside Maranello doors. To the lazy runway performance of the two SF-25, it was added that Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton They crossed radio messages with their engineers in a battle of tantrums on the track position, orders to change positions, demand claims and everything, for the seventh place.
The landing of Formula 1 in Europe with the Emilia-Romagna GP seemed the time for the Rossa to enter a large update package that I could put the team back in the fight or, at least, to approach Mercedes and Red Bull. In Florida it was also surpassed by Williams. From Ferrari he had put Icola as the time to refresh the car, however, it will not happen.
Ferrari engineers will take something new to the seventh appointment, “but it will not be too much. We need to balance the aspirations with the calendar,” they warned. New pontones were expected and the floor reviewed, but it will not happen. Icola will start a triplet that will continue seven days later in Monaco and finish at two weeks in Barcelona. Precisely in the GP of Spain, the FIA will harden the controls on the flexibility of the front wings and that can change the World Cup in a jiffy.
“There will be updates for Icola, but it is not about development. It’s about finding the best combination with this car,” said Frédéric Vasseur, director of the Scuderia. In Ferrari the problem is great because it is not about understanding the car, you have to look for performance. The dates pass and Hamilton and Leclerc will continue chewing anger.
