The Italian was third in Montreal, his best result in the World Cup. Three days after taking his first trophy, he had to perform Italian from the fifth year of the Baccalaureate.

Kimi Antonelli is just 18 years old and, beyond leading a completely different life to those of the boys of his age, he does not cease to have the same obligations as a teenager. Among them, go to school, of course. But for the Italian, the passing of his last times by the school are difficult because his main task is to be just a formula 1 pilot!

Antonelli got his first podium in the World Cup in the Canada GP in which he finished third, after a great performance that he built with a brilliant overcoming maneuver Oscar Piestri in the game. The Boloñés cut with a 16 -year -old drought without an Italian at the F1 awards ceremonysince Jarno Trulli finished second in the 2009 Japan GP. Finished the celebration, Kimi got on the plane with his dad, returned to Italy, with a scale in Munich, and put himself in his role as a student: he is in full final exams. He took advantage of the flight hours to study. Meanwhile, most of his colleagues (except Max Verstappen) chichonean in the red carpet of Times Square in New York for the premiere of the F1 film that has Brad Pitt as the protagonist.

Antonelli could have left school, due to his task as a car runner. But he promised his mother that he would end the school, because she asked. And in that. On Tuesday night, two days after champagne in Montreal, he met at his home with his schoolmates to study. JUntos took the opportunity to see the final of the basketball series and enjoy the triumph and title of Virtus Bologna (he beat Brescia in the final). What a year for Bologna! In full GP of Emilia-Romagna, the football team won the Coppa Italia.

After the celebration in basketball, it was time to study. And this Wednesday, around 8 in the morning, dressed in a black shirt and his backpack, Antonelli arrived at the Salvemini Di Casalechio di Reno Technical Institute. I had to pay Italian. It was four and a half hours that was taken to write his essay. He chose Bolilla B2: Respect, defined as the word of the year by Treccani.

Upon leaving school he met the press that awaited him and fans who wanted his firm or a photo. “You were here all morning?” He asked a girl. And signed the cap and dried the photo. The image was repeated with all those who awaited him there. “I am more nervous about the final exams than for the races. Tomorrow is the English exam. It was more difficult to make the rehearsal than to endure the rhythm of Piastri and Norris in the last laps of the race,” said Antonelli between laughs. “If it is better to get a 10 on the final exam or a podium in Austria? Both. I did my best, now to wait for the results, I didn’t have much time to prepare,” he added.

Kimi studied a lot of distance, supported by his classmates and teachers, whom he invited in the group of Icola this year. Every time he could travel to his house in Bologna, he quickly joined the classes.

Next week, before traveling to Austria for F1 date, Kimi will have an oral exam. Everything to finish his bachelor where he will graduate in international relations and marketing.
