F1: FIA suspends a commissioner for the Max Verstappen case of the GP of Spain

Derek Warwick, Expileot of the category, was temporarily separated from his position in Canada after having talked about the sanction of the tetracampeon in an interview.
Derek Warwick arrived at the Canada GP to fulfill its function as sports commissioner of the FIA of the tenth formula date 1. The English played 146 races in the category between 1981 and 1993. His debut was in the remembered GP of Las Vegas of 1981 in the parking lot of Caesars Palace, the day Carlos Reutemann scratched the glory, but he had to settle for the runner -up in a controversial season inside of Williams. Withdrawn since 1993 of the F1, the British began working as a sports commissioner of the International Automobile Federation by Jean Todt, former president of the entity. Already installed in Montreal, the entity that now commands Mohammed Ben Sulayem informed him that he could not fulfill his function and that he was suspended immediately. The reason: he provided an interview in which he talked about the sanction that Max Verstappen received in the last GP of Spain.
“Following the recent unauthorized comments in the media, the FIA has made the decision to suspend Derek Warwick of its functions as a pilot commissioner for the Canada Grand Prix of this weekend,” The statement released by the supervisory entity was released. “After discussing it, Derek recognizes that his comments were misguided in his role as commissioner of the FIA and has apologized. Derek will resume his duties as a commissioner in the next Austrian Grand Prix,” he concluded.
Verstappen was sanctioned with ten seconds of penalty and three points in his superliccence after hitting a artero Autazo to George Russell in the final part of the GP played in Barcoleona, a reaction he arrived after Red Bull ordered him to give up the English position of Mercedes. Warwick was not as commissioner in that race (David Domingo, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Matthew Selley and Nish Shetty joined the squad), but in an interview he provided his opinion: “Should he have done what he did with George Russell in the curve 5? Of course no. Some people argue that Sebastian Vettel received a penalty of Drive-Through of 10 Seconds in Baku when he left deliberately against Lewis Hamilton. I am not forgiving it, nor saying that it was fine. It was absolutely wrong. The FIA sanctioned it correctly. Should it have been harder? I think they were fine. Many would say that they should have been sanctioned with a race as a deterrent for young karting pilots, and they are probably right, “he said.
According to the FIA, with those said Warwick he made a public trial on the work of other commissioners and is not admissible. The Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi was chosen by the Federation to occupy the Warwick place in Canada.
