David González signs for Euskaltel-Euskadi until 2028

He Euskaltel-Euskadi has signed up 2028 to the Avila David Gonzalezwho comes to the Basque team to “provide experience and speed” after eight seasons in the professional peloton, the last two in the Pinarello Q36.5, the Basque club confirmed this Thursday.

González, 30 years old, is an “all-terrain” runner whom the orange team defines as “a solid roller that successfully overcomes the medium mountain and has a notable top speed in small groups”, qualities that he has been able to demonstrate in three editions of La Vuelta and one of the Giro d’Italia.

The Fontiveros cyclist is the eighth addition of Euskaltel-Euskadi for the next season, after those of Mikel Landa, Julen Arriolabengoa, Marco Martín, Hodei Muñoz, Ander Okamika, Felipe Orts and Unai Ramos.

Furthermore, they continue with contract in force Jon Agirre, Yago Agirre, Xabier Berasategi, Samuel Fernández, Txomin Juaristi, Jonathan Lastra, Gotzon Martín, Iker Mintegi, Gari Ugarte, Axel van der Tuuk and Danny van der Tuuk.
