Danae Andrada became the new President of the PAHF
This Saturday, November 15 in Miami, United States, A new Ordinary Congress of the PAHF was held (Pan American Hockey Federation) in which a historical milestone was experienced: Danae Andrada was elected as the first female president of the continent’s regulatory body. The Uruguayan will serve a four-year term, succeeding the Argentine Alberto “Coco” Budeisky, who was in office for 12 years.
Danae Andrada currently chairs the Uruguayan Hockey Federation and at the same time is part of the Board of Directors of the Uruguayan Olympic Committee. During the Congress, the President of the International Hockey Federation dedicated a few words to the new President of the PAHF: “On behalf of myself and the FIH Executive Board and the global hockey community, I extend my sincere congratulations to Danae Andrada for being elected as the first female president of the PAHF”Ikram began.
And then he continued: “Danae and I have worked together for many years. I know that she will be an extremely committed, determined and forward-thinking president.who will always give her best for the good of hockey.” In addition to Andrada, the Congress also defined new members of the PAHF Board: Chip Roger (USA) elected; Ademir Montenegro (PAN) renewed his mandate; and Norma Fernández (PAR) elected.
