Cobolli lengthens Rublev’s crisis and Hamburg conquest just before Roland Garros
Flavio Cobolli, 23, surpassed Andrey Rublev 6-2 and 6-4 in Hamburg ATP 500 final and obtained the most important title of his career.
The Italian, who played his third final (Bucharest won this year and lost that of Washington in 2024) stopped the attempts of reaction of the Russian that improved in the second set but never conclusively.
Rublev won this 2025 in Doha to elevate the number of titles in his career to eighteen. However, since then, its passage through the tournaments has been disappointing until it reached Hamburg, where it reached the final, without success.
Cobolli, who became champion of Roland Garros Junior in double (2020), with the triumph in the German tournament amounts to Position 26 of the ranking, the best of his career.
Both Hamburg ATP 500 and Roland Garros are followed by AM850 and Disney+.
