Chris Sale reached 2,500 strikeouts at 2,026 tickets and exceeded Randy Johnson’s record of 2,107.2 for the same figure of chocolates

Philadelphia-Chris Sale became the fastest pitcher to reach 2,500 strikeouts, after working six blank tickets for the Atlanta Braves who beat the Philadelphia Phillies 9-3. Braves and Phillies divided the double billboard that was held this Thursday.

“You always want to leave the city you get with at least one victory,” he said. “Today was a difficult day for injuries. But you try to take advantage, have a good flight home and start with a good foot back home.”

Sale (3-3) struck Edmundo Sosa in the sixth entrance, his eighth punch to reach the brand. He did it in 2,026 entries, exceeding the record of 2,107.2 established by the Cy Young Randy Johnson Who goes admires

“I appreciate it for what it is, but I try not to obsess too much with that kind of thing right now,” he said. “I know what our work is here. And it doesn’t matter if you have a good or a bad one, the next is the most important.”

Sale became the number 40 pitcher in the history of the major leagues to reach 2,500 strikeouts and joined Clayton Kershaw, Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer as the only active pitchers in establishing this brand.

“He is doing things worthy of a hall of fame,” he said, for his part, the manager of the Braves, Brian Snitker. “That guy is probably as baseball as anyone, just because of the history of the game and competition. He is a baseball player, and it is really great to see him.”

Sosa was the last batter he left. It allowed only two hits in six white inputs.
