Cal Raleight and Jacob Wilson join players like Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani in the lineup holding of the Star Game
The receiver of the Seattle Mariners, Cal Raleigh, leader of home runs of the MLB, and the rookie candidate of the year of the American League, Jacob Wilson, of the Athletics, will be in the lineup holding of the game of stars that will be held on July 15 at the Truist Park of Atlanta, as announced on Wednesday.
Three Detroit Tigers players – the second base Gleyber Torres and the Riley Greene and Javier Báez – gardeners – will join them in the headline of the American League, while the national league openers are led by three representatives of Los Angeles Dodgers: the first base Freddie Freeman, the receiver Will Smith and the designated batter Ohtani, who received the largest number of votes among the players of the National League during phase 1 of the vote.
Completing the headline alignment of the American League: the first base of the Toronto Blue Jays, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the third base of the Cleveland Guardians, José Ramírez, and the designated batter of the Baltimore Orioles, Ryan O’Hearn. Everyone will join the New York Yankees toletero, Aaron Judge, who was the most voted player in the American League in phase 1.
To the trio of the Dodgers in the titular alignment of the National League the Gardeners Pete Crow-Armstrong (first selection) and Kyle Tucker (fourth), the Chicago Cubs will join; the second base Ketel Mars, the Arizona Diamondbacks; the third base Manny Machado, San Diego parents; and the Francisco Lindor campocorto, of the New York Mets, who was appointed holder for the star game for the first time in his career.

Raleigh, nicknamed ‘The Great Dolor’, won his first selection for the game of stars and his position as a starter thanks to his 33 homers in the first half and 71 ranked races, leader in the MLB (until Tuesday). Wilson, the Athletics Campocorto, was chosen after a first half dynamic in which he hit .339, the second best of the entire MLB, until Tuesday’s games.
Wilson, 23, is the only rookie in both leagues to be chosen for the titular alignment. It is the first rookie campocort to win an choice of fans and will be just the second rookie in the history of the star game to start in that position.
The Tigers had three openers chosen by fans for the fourth time in their history, matching the best brand of the franchise, also achieved in 1984, 1985 and 2007. Meanwhile, the three elections of fans for Dodgers represent their greatest number in a single season since the team had four openers chosen by fans for the summer classic of 1980: Steve Garvey, Davey Lopes, Davey Lopes, Bill Russell and Reggie Smith.
For Torres and Báez, it is the first time since 2019 that they are All-Stars. In total, 13 different MLB clubs are represented among the 18 positional openers, including seven different clubs in the American League and six in the National League.
Judge, Ramírez and Machado obtained their seventh selection to the game of stars, the greatest amount among all the players.
The pitchers and reservations of both teams (23 in total for each team) will be determined through a combination of the players’ elections and the selections made by the commissioner’s office. They will be announced on Sunday (5:00 pm from the east, AM850).
