Before this season, Caitlin Clark had never lost a party in his university or professional career. But his second season at the WNBA has been full of injuries.

Boston – The star of the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clarkhe left the victory on Tuesday night by 85-77 over the Connecticut Sun In the TD Garden with an apparent groin injury which occurred at the last minute.

Indiana’s coach Stephanie White confirmed that Clark “felt something in the groin” and that it will be evaluated “and will see what happens from there.”

After completing a chopped pass to his partner Kelsey Mitchell for a tray with about 40 seconds, Clark held the inner part of the right thigh before walking and hitting his head against the post in apparent frustration.

Clark was visibly excited when he went to the bench of the Faver, covering his head with a towel.

Before this season, Clark had never lost a party in his university or professional career. But his second season at the WNBA has been full of injuries. Nine games of the regular season (10, including the Commissioner’s Cup final) has been lost this summer.

Clark lost a preseason game for a rigidity in the quadriceps, although the next day he played an exhibition match at Iowa University, his alma mater. Subsequently, he was low five games between May and June for a distension in the left quadriceps (apart from the initial problem), and then he was on two more weeks, from the end of June to the beginning of July, for an injury to the left groin.

Clark returned from the injury to the groin less than a week ago in the defeat against the Golden State Valkyries, who visited them.

Indiana improved his mark on Tuesday to 8-5 with Clark this season, after a 4-5 balance without her. It ended with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists against the SUN. Clark averages 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game this season.

The Faver complete the second leg of their consecutive season on Wednesday, when they face the defending champions, the New York Liberty, in Brooklyn. Clark, headline and captain of the 2025 star game, was also appointed participant in the Tuesday Tuesday morning contest.

“I think we are going step by step,” White said. “We will get food, we will go up to the plane and start talking about New York. They are evaluating it, we will see how we are, and surely we will have another evaluation, probably, and we will talk in the morning to see how we are. But this group has played without it. At least we have experience in that.

“We know that we have a difficult opponent in New York. We know that it will be a challenge to pass whatever and simply have to concentrate and be ready to compete.”
